metal, wood, clay and lace with consummate skill. The city of Isernia has the 15th century 6 arched Tontana Fraterna, and an antiquarium museum, with Greek,
Samnite and Roman reamins on show. In Termili, visit the Swabian Castle built in 1247 by Frederick II, and the 13th century cathedral. The region is also famed for
Campitello Matese, a fashionable resorts with every facility for winter sports. Typical dishes are maccheroni alla chitarra, polenta and cavatelli, to be eaten with Montepulciano wine.
